Classic cardigan with a very feminine silhouette and relaxed fit.

Dropped shoulders and v-neck. Boxy sleeves with decreases for a balloon effect. Knitted in a blown yarn for a soft and drapery but thick effect.

The model in the picture is 169 cm tall and wears a size 2.

8 (9, 10, 11) (12, 13, 14, 15) skeins of Snefnug by Camarose (55% Baby alpaca, 35% organic cotton and 10% merino) (50g = 110 m / 120 yards).

5 (5, 6, 6) (7, 7, 8, 9) skeins of Kidsilk Lace Gregoria Fibers (25g = 210 m / 230 yards/) (73% superkid mohair, 27% silk).

The cardigan is worked holding two strands of yarn together (one of Kidsilk Lace and one of Snefnug).

For the sample we used one strand of Kidsilk Lace in colourway “Mauve” and one strand of Snefnug in colourway “7105 Chokoladel”.

NEEDLES

5 mm / US 8 circular needles, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” for stockinette stitch.

4 mm / US 6 circular needles, cable length 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the ribbing.

GAUGE

16 stitches x 23 rounds = 10 x 10 cm / 4 x 4” on on 5 mm / US 8 needles in pattern stitch worked flat, after blocking.

Gauge is crucial for this project. Please make sure you achieve gauge by changing needle size if necessary.
