Sleeveless top with a lovely eyelet motif.

The Eliza top features minimal and fine construction elements that provide it with distinction. It has a regular fit.

The top is worked from top to bottom. The shoulders are created using short rows to provide a more comfortable fit. First, the back is worked flat, with some increases to shape the armhole.

The front is then worked equally, but with increases to form the neckline.

Finally, the front and back are joined at the underarm, and the body is worked in the round until the hem.

The collar, armholes, and body hem are all finished with a lovely braid for a unique and sophisticated finish.

The model in the picture is 169 cm / 5 ́75” tall and wears a Size 2.

For the sample, we used Soft Silk in colourway “SS-034”.

NEEDLES

3 mm / US 2.5 circular needles, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” for the body and 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the yoke.

3 mm / US 2.5 DPN for the shoulder seam.

3 mm / D-3 crochet hook for the provisional cast-on.

2.25 mm / US 1 circular needles, cable length 80 or 100 cm / 32 or 40” and 40 or 60 cm / 16 or 24” for the braid.

2.25 mm / US 1 DPN for finishing the braid.

GAUGE

After blocking: 24 sts x 31 rows = 10 x 10 cm /4 x 4” on 3 mm / US 2.5 needles in pattern stitch worked flat.

This top is designed to have a regular fit and is intended to be worn with approximately 5 cm / 2” of positive ease at the bust.
